That’s why we conduct visual screenings for oral cancer at each six-month checkup or cleaning. This examination includes all of the soft tissues of your mouth, as well as your throat, neck, and head.

If the hygienist or doctors see anything that causes concern, they’ll refer you to an oral surgeon for screening. This oral cancer screening could literally be lifesaving!
